Two-way full analog active nearfield monitor - 6.9" woofer and 1.1" soft dome tweeter. The BM6A MKII delivers the distinctive Dynaudio Professional objectivity and accuracy exposing every audible detail to the critical and demanding engineer - be it in music monitoring, mixing, broadcasting, OB vans, editing suites, post production facilities and project studios.
I think this deserves a bumpity bump from the past. 2011 now, any other gearslutz users using the BM6A MK2?
I’d look into a used pair of PMC Result6.. these are very nice speakers.. or since you don’t mind the ribbon tweeter maybe the HEDD 07? I would not worry too much about the warranty on quality active loudspeaker. (Unless is 15yrs old, but it’s not the case here). I’m not sure if you could find some good...
I'm enjoying working on the Archon nearfields. I'm not familiar with midfields or farfield setups in real world experience so the nearfields sound more like what I am familiar with when listening to my dynaudio bm6a mkII nearfields.
I bought these monitors to replace my aging and rather poor Alesis Monitor 1s. Having owned them for two years I am thoroughly pleased with the purchase.
I listen to a variety of styles on them but largely produce House music and I find they suit bass heavy electronic music very well.
