I've used a grace m900 for a few years now. Mines actually the mass drop version, but it's been rock solid and sounds amazing. There are cheaper smaller options as well, Dragonfly, Apogee groove, and so on.

Steven Slate VSX Headphone: Mix in Pro Studios, Mastering Rooms, Cars, Clubs, Boomboxes, & More

...1/2 outputs (1/4” to RCA). Not the most elegant solution but it sounds closer to the output of my Apogee Groove which Steven has mentioned using to tune the VSX. The high end of the Atom is much more informative to my ears than the Audient headphone amp.
