Amazing Voice Lessons NYC

Thumbnails by

Description: With over 20 years of teaching experience, I work with all styles of singers at all levels from complete beginner to working professional. I specialize in contemporary styles of songwriter, pop and rock as well as teach and sing Traditional Jazz standards. I also work with speaking professionals such as public speakers, sales people, teachers and professionals that do a lot of presentations to develop a strong, confident speaking voice. I am also an authority on vocal health and a perfect choice for learning how to keep your voice healthy or repair a damaged voice. I teach from a private voice studio in Manhattan that also includes a professional in house recording studio, which is great for doing complete recording projects (from solo musicians to full bands) as well as professional voiceovers, recorded presentations and instructional material.

Learning voice seems confusing for a while and at first it will sound like everyone is saying that they teach the same things. But it is important to do some research on each teacher to see if the way they communicate resonates with your way of learning. Any teacher worth their salt should have a lot of material available for you to check out and see which system feels right for you. Because no matter who you chose, there is a lot of hard work involved and it's better you put some research in at the beginning. Because once you get started it's best that you put some faith in someone for a while to let what they're teaching you sink in.

Voice is a tricky instrument to learn. It is easy to take the wrong steps and actually cost yourself a great deal more time. It is also very important to find someone who truly understands vocal mechanics and technique to avoid damaging your voice. Research the teachers you are looking at. Do not go to a voice teacher just because they are less expensive. Teaching voice well requires a great deal of study and experience. You would not seek out the cheapest Doctor. There is a very big difference between a voice coach and a voice teacher. A great teacher can truly give you a tour and insight to how the instrument (voice) really works and help you feel and coordinate it. And then, along the way they can guide and coach you to properly using it in context to singing.
