Internship wanted

Description: To All Who Read This,
I'm posting this ad here in the hope of finding guidance towards expanding and furthering my skills as a recording engineer and producer. What I'm looking for is an apprenticeship or internship of sorts. I would be an extra set of capable hands at your disposal for one or two days a week, and in return I would gain the knowledge and experience of working at the professional level.

My name is Jason Kabanas, I'm 27, I have a wide range of experience, some of which may be particularly useful to you. I have rebuilt vintage guitar amps, built my own basic effects pedals, I have a very modest home studio, i have a BFA in Product Design, I was a mechanic and managed a store for many years, I have strong computer literacy skills, and I was a model maker so I have a good familiarity with wood and metal construction. I currently work part-time in the world of fine art, in order to have the freedom of pursuing my passion.

I've studied and learned to effectively utilize various recording techniques and practices, along with how to build and modify gear thanks to the knowledge afforded me by the open internet; whether it be through YouTube channels like, Pensado's Place, Mix with Masters, Mixerman, etc. or the years of practical education and exploration on forums such as, Gearslutz, GroupDIY, TheGearPage, HomeRecording, etc.

Though I did not go to school to study audio engineering, I am highly motivated and focused, certainly a quick learner and I can take direction well. I want to grow beyond the home studio and enter the professional realm, however possible. So I am offering you my services, whatever they may be, for the opportunity to learn more. I hope you will consider the possibility and I would be grateful for an in person meeting. Thank you for your time.

Jason Kabanas

This is the cover letter ive sent out to studios across NY, but on the forum, id like to be little more frank. Guys, I desperately just want to get into a studio and learn in the flesh with knowledgeable people I can to talk to. Ive spent years of trial and error at home having learned a great deal, but I want to expand and hone the knowledge and skills Ive developed into something more polished and professional. Im not a particularly young man, but an internship is all Im looking for because I am committed to becoming furthering my craft.
