A twenty-second song

This is a song for a competition run by my city where local artists' music is played instead of Musak when people are put on hold. They play a twenty-second clip of your song, and as it has to be bilingual-friendly (English/French), they suggested instrumental music. So I had the brilliant idea to write a twenty-second bilingual song. The winners each get $200- I'll take it!

It's just a piano sample, two clarinet parts, and voice. I used a telephone effect on the voice to mask my cruddy voice and give it a vintage ragtime sound. I thought of adding a bit of a colouratura clarinet part as well, but didn't- think I should?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Haven't heard of any contest results from my city yet, nor has another guy I know who entered. Bureaucracy certainly is slow!
