Kinda like The Killers-UPDATED

So a while ago I posted a mix I was working on and alot has changed since that version. I've gotten new monitors and am also using my old boom box to reference my mixes through as I go along. I believe it has made a world of difference. I'd love to hear what you guys think.

Here is the old thread if you choose to compare:

Here is the new version. Again it has been edited and posted at 192k for file size.

I thought it sounded pretty good! The drums are a little thin - I like the space you put them in. I have nothing to complain about.

I like all the ideas and arrangement. A better mix and this song would be ****ing awesome. I guess it's more a gear issue though. Imagen tape saturation on the drums and more punch. Clearer vocals...

It's a cool song man... The mix/tracking is working.

Sounds good but a few things I noticed. The vocals are great and the clean guitar fx are great. The distorted guitar sounds a little fuzzy. The drums are a little dark and hallow. I would grab Drumagog and mix in Fxpansion BFD a little .. this should help brighten it up some.

Kick/snare are weak...and the guitars are sitting too far back in the mix.

Bass needs some balls...make it hard core

Dist guitars in the chorus are not right for the song...at all.

Thanks for the input thus far, some of the things mentioned regarding certain sounds have been dictated by the band. More comments please!
