Thanks!

It was all recorded with C414 stereo pair into a Presonus Firestudio hooked via ADAT to a M-audio Profire 2626. Then processed through tape and tube sims, both very very subtle and some SSL compression, also the same on the 2-buss, tape/tube + elephant. The Reverb is Altiverb with the Vienna Hall IR and a slapback delay from Sonar.

The video recording was done with a Canon EOS 60D and EF-S 18-200, EF 50mm f/1.4 lenses, tungsten lights.

Nice sound. Was this recorded all at once or is an overdub session ?
thank you

Overdub, we tried to do the first songs live, but as we don't have separate rooms we sticked to overdubs, sounds better. When it's not to a click, they may play together as a guide track, with one in the cutting room recording for real and the others doing it just for reference. Being professional musicians, they rehearse a lot so it's not difficult to them to emulate the playing together thing.

Well this is a very good performance as well as an outstanding recording. You can feel the space around the vocals and guitars. There is nothing jammed in this track. I think mic placement, compression and good reverb are very well crafted.
Speaking of click tracks, in my experience click track tends to take away some of the magic's performance. I do not know why, maybe people are a little stressed about being in sync with a machine rather than a drummer .
In your case the talent are professional musicians which makes your job allot easier.
all the best

Great! Thanks, we are very happy with the results and the Youtube stats are going up and up. About click, as they know there isn't going to be any percussion afterwards, they dont get worried about it and any small drift is not a problem, happens a bit sometimes but we audition always without the click to worry only about big drifts that stand out. As pointed being experienced in doing it helps a lot, also comfortable monitoring and fast workflow at recording time both play a part too.
