Made this for "SINTERKLAAS" with my son.

Was a lot of fun making it. He is called Kai. So I made his "artistname". "The Kai-ster"...
This is what I want to do when my son gets a little older... I've done one song with him but I don't have it on this puter...

ART!

This was my 'learn logic' project and was based on a riff bouncing around in my head for a while. Hope you like it.

My new videosong. The video documents the recording process following the rules of videosong by Jack Conte.

1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice).
2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).

Thanks for checking it out! Let me know what you think.

That's a very pleasant song.
In my opinion the lyrics are a tad too wet. It gives me headache because my ears are hearing reverb and cannot define the lyrics. For the rest I'd say two thumbs up.

May be try to take the vocalline and copy it to a new track and mix the dry with the wet. Maybe that'll help.

That's the only.... (but important step) caveat to a beautiful clip and well executed song.

Ah, Manos....good to see (and hear) you again.

Once again you have given us a fabulous production to enjoy. I personally love the way your vocals ride the music.

@muziekschuur Thank you for checking out my song and for the kind words! I've tried the dry vocals but at the end of the day I've decided to go with the "wet" setting, cause otherwise It seemed to me lifeless and besides that I loved the "extra dark wide" vocal space. I think it's more musical that way.

@Unclenny Thank you my friend! Been kinda busy with everyday work, but I'm glad I'm back!

@goldendeathmusic Really liked it! Subbed for sure, waiting for more!

Agreed!

Good work Manolitos!

Dig the drums a lot - cool beat! I have to admit that I'm more into straight up performance - one camera, no fancy **** and a naked man with his guitar captured in mono... I'm tired of that style of making videos, you with little tiny windows showing the person playing all the instrument etc. ha!

You rock anyways bro so take my critisim with love!

Thank you my friend!

I'm also with you when it comes to tiny windows. That's why I've used mainly a full video window or 2 windows max. There are couple of seconds of multi window, cause I liked the idea of video windows moving left and right like photographs falling ( I actually dreamed of that one night...so I had to make it!! )

Thanks again!!! Really appreciate it!

Sistas!

I try to avoid posting boring, one chord jams but I'm kinda chuffed with some of the sounds I got here. Sort of reminds me of Art of Noise. IMHO

Here for the gear

'Tis the season

Here's a batch of Christmas tunes I've been working on for 15 years (really). Kept moving my MIDI files over the years from Cakewalk to Sonar to Logic Pro. The arrangements and playing are mine, with a bit of help from software-generated parts (Jammer, BIAB). I've attached the first track here - "O Come, All Ye Faithful."

Mixed in Logic Pro 9.

This is the first track I ever recorded, it's off a little demo I've done. I'm not really sure what to call the style, any suggestions?

Nope.

But I did enjoy the listen. The tune and the production are both interesting and a bit infectious.

Pretty good first effort.

This thread definitely applies to me, so here are a couple tracks recorded in my "studio" aka the tiny bedroom in my nyc apartment.

Here's something I don't know what to do with. Not sure it's worth writing lyrics for such a old-fashioned and derivative song. But there's things I like about it.

Recorded and mixed on a Fostex VF160 multitracker with help from a Roland XP80 and a nice gtr. Mix tweaked later (not very well as it turns out) on C6.
