Guys, take a listen, let me know what you think.

Btw.. No samples or grid editing used anywhere.

Nice. Listened on headphones via laptop and the kick n bass sounds good here. What did you use? System, mics, pres etc.

cheapo laptop speakers, so my opinion is a total fwiw ... yeah, you can hear the beat of the kick ok here, the bass might be a bit light, but overall it sounded nice, if you see what I mean ... I don't have my better monitors here at the moment, but I'll dongle it over later for a listen on my other ones.

Gear Head

sounds good to me... i dont think there are any "faults".

for my taste, the GTRs could use some more low end and the snare could be more punchy and overheads a bit lowered.

and it sounds a bit flat (room impression)

Nothing I could do about the over's.. They were actually bleeding thru the kick mic. I had the kick mic about 2 feet in front of the kick.. My error.. You live you learn.

Next time I will multiple mic the kick.

No, its these guys..

PROGRESS (CD OUT JUNE 18TH!) on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Videos

The first 2 songs on their myspace list are from their 6 song ep I just recorded.

The last 2 songs on that list were done by a local guy.

Where else would there be hardcore music, but in CT? Just kidding, haha. This band kinda reminds me of Helmet, not so much hardcore, just angry hard rock, but it sounds pretty good.
