It's called "bastard breed"...

No spam or anything, but i could really use some honest feedback on this one.. good or bad, i don't care really... as long as it's honest

The whole mix was done with headphones on, from the beginning till the end.. also mixed with phones on...

Let me know...

thanks.

Hi Bobby I think this rocks. Bass Drum work is awesome - and I like the fact you have ambition with your musial scope. I think the guitarts could be up a tiny tiny bit in places, but that could be my speakers. Otherthan that its awesome. I sent the link to a few mates who would interested aswell.

Keep it up fella.

This is killer! The mix is great! I'm thinking maybe a bit more bass and maybe give the bass drum just a bit of a bassy fatness?
Drum machine I assume...sounds good though.
I'm about to start building my first daw but can't decide on which equipment to get. This is the sound I'm looking for! Please tell me/us how it was recorded.
I'm especially interested in the mic pre's and mics used on the guitars. Mixer?
Soundcard?
Are they all POD direct or amp miced? Details man, I need details! heh

Ok, I just read one of your older posts where you said you used the drumkit from hell and pod direct. What about your soundcard? Mic pre? Mixer?
How many guitar tracks? smokin'

aahh..Cheers guys!!

Warrior, it's not your speakers mate, it's a bit lackin in the guitar tightness department.. i will play those guitars in again later.. good ears!

Radd:

Thanks man, yeah.. i used nuendo 2 as my recording program.. an audiophile 24/96 soundcard.. and i directly plugged in the POD XT into that.. no mic pre's or mixers in between.. nothing..

I recorded two tracks for guitars.. one left 90% and one right panned 94%..
i used BBE sonic maximizer on both tracks.. and the waves C4 settings from a top producer Andy Sneap.. have a look:

There it is... sneaps settings..

I have nothing more on the guitars.. that's it.. no miced amps, straight into the soundcard..

i used BBE on the master as well, and the C4 as well to fatten up that sound.. and waves L2 for better limiting..

any questions, ask.. i'd be happy to help out any way i can...

Thanks!
