Dubstep is still "new and exciting" to me, so forgive it's outdted...but I like it. I've tried creating a wobbled bass on each and every synth I own since coming across this genre, and it's interesting as I love the fact dubstep will kick you in the ass with it's "bite"..it's true nastiness (IMHO) comes from the actual melody.

I dunno....I can only tlell you what I like. Below is an example.
