Beat o Tha Week (Week of 712/2020)

To give you fine party people an idea of just how old the genre of Garage is, I can distinctly remember (as a pre-teen), fight in our adjourning neighborhood between "The Mod guys and the Garage guys"

I'm talking this sh*t goes waaaaaaay back. Not the UK Garage as we know and love today, but actual "Garage music"...the Clash talked about it in the late 70's and on the 80's the term Garage music was used for the style of music we would all come to know. Garage is "hwat" (whatevee you have).

Below is perhaps the most common style of Garage music, "UK Garage". For me, it's hit or miss. I could not so much sit and listen to a Garage album...but if there is a tune steady crackin' (like the one I created below)...then I rock with it.

So below is what I'd think most of you know with respect to Garage...when it's really put down the correct way. ;-)
