Please critique my mixes

Hi guys. Hopefully someone will humour me and tell me what they think of my mixes.

Basically I'm a singer-songwriter dude. All I do is record my songs which are guitars and my vocals. I have a basic home studio setup and I mix with plugins, mostly freeware and also some old waves plugs.

I'm not so interested in advice on the performing/recording side of things because my options are limited. What I want is some feedback on my mixing/mastering. When I listened to a load of my tracks recently my overriding impression was that the vocal was too loud, maybe slightly under-compressed and that the overall eq balance was muddy and unclear.

I have a load of tracks at that link. It doesn't really matter what you listen to because I think I pretty much use the same techniques and ethos on all my mixes.

Yeah so just like let me know what I'm doing wrong. How would you mix things differently? More or less compression? Cut more low end? Push some parts up and some parts down?

Cheers.
