First Mix - Singer Songwriter

Hi there :-)

I've learned making records and mixing the last 2 years, now a have a first Mix of my first song, the first part.

I recorded the guitar with 2x Audio Line cm3 in the ADT TM101 and the RME Babyface. In my flat.
Vocals I did with a TLM49 and a Lewitt 840 (UA Solo and ISA One). In my recording room.

Can you lend me your ears and your monitors? What have I to take care about?

I had a lot of problems with the sound of the guitar in the Refrain in connection with the reverb.

Thanx a lot!

Greetings from Switzerland :-)

PS: Have to work now, will answer in the evening.

Seems like a very intimate piece. If that's correct, I think the vocals are too bright and possibly too forward in the mix. The finger picking guitar sounded good, but when the strumming starts, it lacks a bit of definition. Overall, I like the direction.

Thx for your answer. I think you hit the point. Above all the strumming part. I tried a lot of things, other reverb, less reverb, other guitar takes. It sounds better now.
And I have help now from a sound engineer i work with.

I like to post next results here in.

I have not finished yet, like to improve the guitar part in the ref. and the effekts are to strong sometimes.

But does it works in this direction?

Thx!
