Young Beautiful Female Pop Singer Needs Help?

Canadian born 19 year old blonde hair female pop singer looking to collaborate with Grammy Award winning Producers, Engineers and Songwriters with studio. Had two hits in Canada and the Independent Record Label went Bankrupt so it was sad. For example Hillary Duff, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson etc. Serious inquires only.

I jumped out of bed quickly this morning. I wasnt really late for anything, but sometimes you need to do things in fastforward to install a sense of urgency in your internal organs. Its the organ that drives the soul. It didnt take long till I was down to my normal pace of doing things though, so I thought this would be another one of those slow get-nothing-done days; untill I saw this thread that is. The title made me kind of horney, but the content was really nothing special, and even the website link provided in the profile did nothing much for me. Since my organ had been brought to life,, I had to do something to not end up in a blue-foulball situation. After many years of abuse, I have grown immune to internet porn, so there would be no salvation for my heavy hangers online. I was writing you a very angry personal message, with pictures of the inflicted areas included, to let you know you really hurt me, when I suddenly looked up and had the first bit of luck all week. I live right across the street from a hotel, and it is not uncommen for travellers in unfamiliar surroundings to forget to draw their curtains. The travellers are most middle-aged men, and I dont swing that way for no money, so most often it triggers nothing but a smile or a laugh. However, this time was one of those rare occasions where a young woman stood in the room across the street completely naked.....

Name the hits, name the record label. Show some common sense if you're actually trying to get fame for a candy-girl singer . I'll paint it like a courtroom portrait: your post and the link to a questionable website in your profile looks like some hard-up teenager trying to weasel up a recording situation from dopes. It might actually work if you find the right dope.

Gosh, you're not gonna get much interest using descriptors like "Beautiful" or "Young" or "Female" here on gearslutz.

That wasn't a nice thing to say about someone who's trying hard in showbiz pal. In fact you sound like a big jerk and I'm sure my FBI people would love to know more about yourself so get a life.

Ha Ha

The E.T. Photo was actually not to far off...
Actually, here is the point I need to make...
GearSlutz is for people who record, the equipment they record on, and for others who are actually musically inclined to connect.
Why didnt you just try out for American Idol, Canadian Idol, or the like... You'll have a much better chance of getting a deal.
Posting on GearSlutz for a contract or interest thereof is like posting on Adultfinder for interest in your music...
People in the business dont care if your beautiful... they also dont care if your talented... They are more interested in how many fans you already have... forget all that crap you hear about being discovered. Discover yourself... Make yourself big, no one will do it for ya....

Much love,
Devon

So anyone can hear her if they so desire...
I listened and as I don't have a grammy I won't be getting involved.
Good luck. I hate to have to say this, but you/she will need it.

Just what we need. Another young cute teen with more looks and production than talent droning the airwaves. I hear enough of this when my daughters watch The Disney Channel. Stop the madness!!!

Gearslutz Joins the Garageband Hell

First and foremost... Since you asked for feedback by posting your link here Ill give it to you.... I will also tell you I have worked in the business...

1) Your image is okay... (Just Okay) Your no Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, etc. In your Canadian counter parts your not even Alanis or that Kid Avril....

2) Your Music seems polished... (Music) But this appears to be some kind of sampled music, like what you get off of Royalty free loops or something... I sense this because when listening to the vocals I found my self saying someone sue the engineer...
The use of Autotune, Melodyne, Waves Tune was not used... Which is awesome if your Whitney Houston (but your not)... Turn one of these on.

3) Your vocal also just seemed way to bland for this business. There was nothing that stuck out as being star quality. Its one of those kind of voices that is just merely forgettable. Which is okay, it goes along with your overall image.

4) Getting to the "Boy Crazy" lyrics... Uhhh be original... Remember mrs. Spears "Boy You drive me crazy" lyrics. This concept has been the dead horse that has been kicked and kicked it makes the famous pictorial "how the other half lives" look recent...

5) Your website, its management, and any affiliation thereof is amateur. A Grammy is what you get when you have not only had a hit single, album, or whatever... it is what you achieve when you have a massive fan base...

MYSPACE
Garageband
Purevolume
Tagworld

are all places you should try to put your music on. Besides, thats the best way to get attention from anyone in the business. Have a following then they will come to you...

I hope I havent been too cruel, I am just bored with nothing better to do and figured I would denoise the sound before it takes over...

All the "innuendo" comments that have been posted aside--I visited your site--here's what struck me the most---you definitely have a very high opinion of who you are artistically, physically etc.---and that is a good thing, guess you could call it ego, confidence whatever. My feeling regarding any artist is that if you don't believe in yourself, what's the point of trying to get other people to believe in you? They won't!!As far as your deal is concerned--I don't really get who you are as an "artist?"----are you a "dancey-poppy" artist, are you just a "dance" music artist, are you a "pop" artist? I'm a little confused. Your voice has potential--it doesn't kill me, but I believe given the proper vehicle, you might find your "inner voice". As per only wanting to work with "Grammy Award" winners----why not?----who wouldn't want that?.
So good luck, keep up that "in your face" confidence, and just keep "pluigging" away, and maybe one day you'll rise and "stick out" from the rest of us who are all trying to accomplish the same thing! Now you can get back to reading "the flames".......peace?

You posted asking for feedback and now you are getting some. But as with most everything in life, there are no guarantees that you will get what you asked or hoped for. One thing that is almost certain IMO, is that you will need to develop a much thicker skin, if you want to have any chance of succeeding in the music cesspool, er ... I mean business.

Royals, here's a lil quote that might make you giggle and feel better (seriously). I'll tell you in advance before you take any steps into the music industry... this quote is not at all far from the truth:

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench,
a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free,
and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side."
- Hunter S. Thompson

I check every box in that quote on my tax return.

Truth is you are going to have to get rid of those recordings I heard and start fresh, because if you do get a 'deal' it will not be as a result of those performances.

Sorry.

However - as others have said, you seem to have some drive/ego and believe in yourself - all good things...

...but if you also have good ears and the willingness to learn - you must first be able to admit that those songs and video are not 'star' material...

...substance or production wise.

If you truly believe you are 'great' then get rid of this stuff and start again, as these clips are only going to slow you.

That would atleast get rid of the lawyers and that would be a good start, after that most of the A&R at labels (majors) could be next. . And after that, anyone who thinks that dancing and writing a "boom chick" beat is actually the beginning of a band!.......LOL

By the way did you hear about the A & R guy who got killed by a train?

-------He couldn't hear it coming!!.........peace?

Everyone will die anyway, the trick for a Gearslut is getting paid to do what you love and not working in another business that has nothing to do with music and eats your soul. Music better be part of your business, in that situation. Got any more blankets?
