Hi

From what I see this forum is mostly meant for software side of video processing but what place would you recommend to ask for prosumer camcoders recommendations?

Check DVXuser.com, they have sub-forums for various brands like Sony, Panasonic & Canon.
Brands like Red, Blackmagic Design and others have their own forums as well
