football is a team game and what makes a team is the sum of its ingredients , the team players dynamic is as important as the talent indeed but don't forget the players who are playing at the offense which won many games this years for their teams even in times when the team didn't play as a team at all ... one game is not a reference to Brazil abilities and let's wait and see what happens when it comes to money time ...

BTW

USA:Italy was the ugliest game ever , it looked like a war not like a sport at all

Ah yes but remember the European Championships. Greece won that with no star players whatsoever...

By a lack of individual egos and thinking first and foremost of the team not indivudual glory ...maybe

Go Aussie. Hoping we do well. I'd love to see us make the final.

Reckon that it will be Brazil v Germany in the final though.
I'll predict a 2:0 win to Brazil.

It seems that Tan is more than willing to jump on 'the champions" bandwagon. Wow, that's a stretch...rooting for the 5 time world cup champion.

I don't know what game you watched but Brazil once again was lucky to get a win. I am not impressed with this team yet !

Maybe they'll improve later, but so far, they don't look as impressive as Argentina did. They better pray they don't meet down the road...

brazil will have to do alot more if they want to get to the semis, but they have a way of starting like **** and improving as the cup gets on. i thought aussies deserved more.

... czech republic looked like a contender to win this thing, but look at their last game. france vs. korea looks like strange things can happen.

spain will be interesting tomorrow... the men will be separated from the boys in the next round.

All I'm saying is that even though you might like a team, it's ok to criticize if they don't live up to all the hype and expectations.

In the last 2 games, they barely scraped by...They did not show any superiority against Croatia or Australia.

You'd think that a team like Brazil with all their rich superstars would kill a team like Australia who has very little World Cup history.

I'm sure they will improve, but so far I don't see them being any better than Germany, England, Spain and certainly not Argentina.

We will all have those answers in 3 more weeks...

Tan had the " clinic eye " to see the real talent of Brazilian soccer team .
Watch brazilian team playing in cup games is the must for soccer fans around the world.

Of course, Brazil team isnt unbeatable, but one of the funniest and cool things, in cup soccer games, is try to find what team will kick off Brazil. That is the mystic of the whole thing. Why ? We dont know.
Please friends.tutt

Exclamation FIFA Referees results manipulation?

Maybe a kind of "conspiracy" ???tutt

Brazilian soccer tv specialists told us yesterday Togo was stoled in 2 penalities in their last game against Italy team.
The same thing can happen with Togo about bad referees interpretation against Tunisia team today !

I dont want believe in this fact, i hope all matches have referees right judgement of things in games !

Wrong. Couldnt win 10 on 9. And do not say anything about the own goal. That woulda went in the net if the Italian wouldnt have scored it.

My pick

for the final.

Germany vs Brazil w Germany winning at home has to be the safe bet. Unless Ecuador sneak a tie tomorrow. Then they would face each other sooner.

Sweden - England 2-2. England just cannot win over Sweden...Haven't done it since 1968...Svennis really wanted to do it NOW.....Guess Sweden is just a little bit better

Well, England had the first half, Sweden defensive (1-0 to England)

The second half was a completely different game. Sweden was best and should have won it.

Now waits Germany for Sweden .... That one will be harder but not impossible.

Wednesday: Holland vs Argentina

This is going to be an interesting match!!

The Dutch don't have the best individual players but seem to be pretty organised as a team with Marco van Basten being a very 'spiritual' coach. Just like Brazil, Holland always needs the time to get adjusted to the whole atmospher of big tournaments (laziness?). Van Basten didn't select Edgar Davids, Clarence Seedorf and many other top players and instead selected just those players that are willing to sacrifice their own ego's in name of their team. Argentina on the other hand, is a team with more individual potential and is always capable of intimidating the Dutch. Altough the outcome of the match doesn't seem to matter that much, I think it's going to be very interesting to see both teams perform.

Have fun

Yep awesome games today, I will have fun, you too! I'm really looking forward to this game! I will watch it very closely because I want to know exactly how good Argentina is. In the last game they played awesome. I thought Argentina looked pretty weak in the first game against Côte d'Ivoire, I just want to confirm that this is not something I'll notice against some more teams, like for instance Holland, because in that case they won't reach to the final.

What a death match we have in the Sweden - Germany game. Both were expected to reach higher but one team will obviously have to lose the game...

Earlier I ranked the teams in this thread, but after seeing them playing now the picture is different. Germany looks much better than I first thought. They will beat Sweden, their play was awesome against Ecuador and they have Klose that seems to score in each game. I think Germany will reach to the semi-final. Spain also looks really good. Torres is really one of the best players I've seen so far in this World Cup and he has also scored in each game. France looks much weaker than I had expected, allthough Henry has started to score now. The teams I expect will drop out early are Sweden, England, Holland, Portugal, Ecuador, Mexico, Italy and France. England will probably make it to the quarter-final by winning against Ecuador.

So the best teams I've watched so far in this World Cup are: Germany, Argentina, Spain and Brazil. I think two of these will make it to the final, which ones I'm not sure of yet.
