You Only Get What You Give by the New Radicals, anything by U2 or Reamonn...soooo booooooring. I can't understand why people are in such booooring music! The songs would be fine if they lastet 30s, but 30s repeated 6 times is just booooooooring.

Smithereens?

The Smithereens were one of the biggest blah bands I have ever heard - cheesier than anything Kraft or Velveeta ever made!!

I've spent 30 years in big market radio.

If you ever want to write, produce, or perform a big radio hit that sells, ignore this thread.

WOMEN like or love almost every song listed here. How many women
have posted?

(Not that I, a male ,don't agree with you)

"walk the Dinosaur" by was Not Was

Hands down, by a mile, absolutely the most inconsequential popular song in history. That makes it the worst.

i hate every version of "Dancin' in the Streets" but the Bowie/Jagger version takes the cake.

Creed, Nickelback, Staind, Limp Bizket, Matchbox 20, 7Mary3...pretty much any band that got signed in Florida around 2000 and the execrable fountain of imitators that washed up in their wake.

"My Humps" is so generic. It sounds like a rap parody crafted by The Coalition For The Advancement of Caucasion Culture.

Any song about the internet, especially those written by musicians whose careers peaked over 20 years ago.

No one has or will write a decent song about 9/11 but an extra dose of venom goes to that shmuck whose song had the "we'll put a boot in your ass/ it's the american way" line.

Elton John's "Circle of Life." Just awful.

Those songs all induce extreme nausea in me. But nobody...NOBODY can send me into a spleen bursting rage like Kenny G. His music makes me want to call down the firestorm against humanity. Rend still-pulsing internal organs with my teeth. Beat my head against a wall until it's turned into that yellow mush from the end of The Evil Dead. Boy do i hate it. The soprano sax is forever ruined for me.

Actually I think all the drums were programmed on Hysteria, as evidenced by the playback of various tracks on Classic Albums: Hysteria ...all of the original multitracks were sans drums. Given that - I believe - Mutt was already doing drum replacement back during Pyromania (programmed kick/snare with acoustic cymbals), and that for most of the recording process Rick Allen was either in hospital or learning to play drums again, it's wholly believable.

Personally I think Def Leppard were one of the few standouts of the 80s hair/spandex/cock rock metal genre... if anything though, the band was never the same after Steve Clark died.

A lot of 80s stuff was a bit cheesy or dodgy, but given a choice between that and the vast majority of generic sounding, hyper squashed, rock/rap/nu-metal crapola released in the last 10 years ago, I'd rather listen to 'Unskinny Bop', 'Armageddon It' and 'Kickstart My Heart'.

Seven Mary Three was signed and making records before any of those bands were even a thought.

While the music might not represent it, they all were very talented musicians, especially the drummer being a Cadets of Bergen Country Drum & Bugle Corps alumni.

"Hey Mickey" was by Bow-Wow-Wow and is not as horrible as you think, just watch the video and drop a lot of acid...

For whatever it's worth, anything by Linkin Park is up there pretty high on the vomit-itor for me. That and anything involving the members of Creed.

'Afternoon Delight" by Starlight Vocal Band. One of the most egregious examples of cheezy crap 70's pop that I ever had to suffer through whenever I had the radio on in a car.
