Vocal time shift in Logic pro

Hey guys,

Ok this is my first post so go easy

Right, so I am in the process of making my first professional record... and... well... problem one!

I recorded the main vocals for one track about 3 BPM too slow and need to speed them up - the only problem is that once i put them through the time and pitch machine, they sound all glitchy and disgusting and ruined!

I've not had to do this before so i am wondering if

a) there is a way to keep them in tact and make them faster, and
b) if its dodgy to undergo this process on something thats supposed to be a pro release

If you're using Logic 9 use flex time editing. It's this simple. Set the bpm to where you want it. Click on flex editing at the top. Go to the track with the vocals and set it to polyphonic. It will automatically adjust to your new tempo with no harm done.
