I thought this would be a cool idea - literally just post the name of an artist/band that you think should be getting more attention than they currently are and who you'd love to see hit the big time and really make it. Plus, you could always put the band's website or MySpace up so other people can possibly become fans.

For me,

The title of this thread had me thinking it was a 14-year old girl complaining about her breasts or something. I was gonna say "Get some implants".

There's a lot of great music coming out of Sydney.

Monster Magnet. They had a bit of success in the 90s but in my opinion deserve to be considered one of the all-time greatest rock bands. Dave Wyndorf is a genius lyricist and their first four albums are flawlessly brilliant. Also, one of the best live acts I've seen.

Here's a track from their new album, "Mastermind".

Yeah if you listen to his early 50s work he could really belt out a blues-rock song. He was going good until he fell under control of that sack o' sh!t manager Colonel whats-his-name

Gotta give a mention to one of favourite British bands: The Thirst. Top bunch of lads, write very catchy tunes and are a superb live band.

They're defunct now, but Machines of Loving Grace. Kinda like early NIN, but with a far more dynamic singer.

James...not getting noticed? err...they were massive for about 5 years over here! anyone who can get a whole festival crowd to "sit down" on command has to be fairly well noticed surely?!

Without a doubt...Bill Mallonee. Finest singer/songwriter that few have ever heard. The album "Audible Sigh" (with his band Vigilantes of Love) is an absolute masterpiece. Produced by Buddy Miller, backing vocals by Emmylou Harris and Julie Miller. That was 10 years ago, but he's still cranking out fine albums and always touring. Sorry for not posting a link, but I hope everyone will check him out. It saddens me that one of our greatest singer/songwriters has been reduced to sending out e-mails trying to book house concerts and struggling just to keep going.

Oh yeah! I still listen to Gilt to this day. One of my favorite records!
Another band in the same vein was 16 Volt, and they had a brilliant album Supercoolnothing produced by Bill Kennedy that was released silently in the late 90s when their label collapsed within a week of the album coming out. They were poised to be the next thing in metal/industrial and got thrown under the bus. I was fortunate enough to play with a few of those guys after the band imploded (for the second and not the final time).
