Crossroads

Well, Taylor Swift and Def Leppard did a Country Crossroads show together. So, I guess Taylor and Mutt have only 1 degree of separation right?

YouTube - def leppard & taylor swift - pour sugar on me HIGH QUALITY

Not that bad actually. I think it was one of the few if not the only episode to be released as a DVD video.

FWIW, I would still take Shania any day.

I would guess someone who can't really sing, artificially polished to a shine, piled up with 400 background vocals.
Oh wait......
That's all of his productions.....

Never mind.

while the polished to a perfect shine thing is definitely true, the "cant sing" part is definitely not true for Mutt. (it applies to TSwift, but all the people mutt works with are actually good singers / musicians)

Nickelback - no singing ability at all!! WELL out of tune live!!
Boomtown rats - awful but brilliant singing !! heh

hmmmmmm....well, singing live is another discussion - there are so many obstacles for rock singers - robert plant, the beatles, who, stones, hendrix - some fo the best bands of all time - often sucked live. i've heard more sucky live plant footage, than not.

and i'm not really a bon scott fan - i actually like johnson better, but again, different strokes. at the end of the day, pretty much everything is just individual opinion.

however, i did think that live taylor swift **** was brutal.

and i hear ya on the rats heh

i was always disappointed with hendrix, plant, etc. live - they usually sucked compared to the records. i heard a live version of boston's "more than a feeling" - and brad delp couldn't hit any of his high notes. it's all studio magic, lads. i'm just as guilty or participating in creating this stuff. most singers can NOT sing their asses off for 2+ hours straght over thousands of watts of guitar amps and blasting drum kits, etc. it just does not work. plus, most of them are smoking and drinking - they don't take care of their voices, warm up, or do any coaching/ maintenance, etc.

except for the real singers - prince, celine, streisand, billy joel, elton john, etc. and even they have bad days.

then we get into classical and jazz, and it's a whole different universe. though, again - these singers are not usually battling walls of marshall stacks and drummers beating the **** out of their kits.

Greyhounds do tend to be skinny - unlike other dogs they only have one layer of fat. I think she's a bit chubbier at the moment though. Ex-racer from greyhound rescue.

Go to Greece, you'll see way skinnier dogs than this. It's skinny by "American" standards.

Skinny by design - a healthy greyhound is skinny.

Skinny for a different reason.

As far as the OP goes, you're making the assumption that TS is rated as a great pop artist.

I don't think anyone could argue that she's unsuccessful. But great? matter of opinion. I'd imagine Mutt could make an album with any session singer you choose to name, and it'd be great pop (and probably surpass a TS collaboration). But it wouldn't be anything like as successful commercially of course.
