Is it metal or plastic?

If metal try GENTLY heating the thread, the metal will shrink a tiny bit and then it should shift.

If that fails give it to a chick. They always have that knack of getting lids of jam jars!

i gave it to my uncle (who happens to be the hulk)
AND HE COULDNT GET IT OFF

i'm about to call up mxl and be like "yo. i cant unscrew your mic"
i'm sure i'd get great advice from them seeing how they have outstanding customer service

jesus christ.. did you cross-thread it when you screwed it back on? I mean if you got it on there you should be able to get it off.

Wouldn't WD40 bugger the capsule ?

Stick the mic in the airing cupboard for a couple of hours to warm it , then try .
