That's not an sf12. That's a shotgun mic with the big foam windscreen taken off. Probably so it's better equipped to cause eye damage.

Don't worry. It probably still works. It IS a cartoon. If Wil-e Coyote can survive a 90 story fall, I'm sure some Audio Technica shotgun can survuve some eye goo.

And, in the commercial, the sound worked after the eye poke.

I'm sure it's fine. But the cartoon microphone appreciates your concern nonetheless.

You're right. It's a much more ubiquitous mic in the industry than AT's look-alike.

Then again, it is a cartoon... so you never know.
