Never mind.
I’ve yet to see a valid point to substantiate that the show was “disgusting”, so yeah, I suppose you’re right.

OK fine, let's frame this in perspective.

@ jnschaefer , I'm not asking any personal information about you.

If you have a six year old daughter, would you be comfortable with her watching that halftime show?

I'm saying only an ignorant and irresponsible father would allow their child to watch that show.

And I’m saying only an ignorant and irresponsible father would impart the idea on their daughter that women’s bodies are something to be ashamed of. But I guess we need to get them used to the misogyny early, huh?

Again, back to my original point: You’re cool letting your six year old watch a violent sport like football, but for some reason women dancing and showing some skin crosses the line. It’s some really backwards logic. Trust me, I grew up in deep red Texas, I understand the point you’re trying to make entirely. I’m just saying that both you and our society are wrong. What you don’t seem to grasp is what kind of impact that sort of toxic logic can have on a young girl.

A REAL Colisseum intermission has lions and live mutilation, anyway.

And a few other things as well. The most egregious thing for me is when Jennifer Lopez's child joined in on this mess.

Completely uncalled for after all that raunch. I'd be surprised if a mod didn't remove this post for posting what appeared on national TV airwaves.

LOL... I think you may have something of a point after all. That's pretty tawdry. But not in a cool, sexy way, for sure.

Well when it comes to grabbing crotch at least they're grabbing their own, as opposed to, you know, someone grabbing women's crotches without permission...

... then again, the latter takes you all the way to the top...

what are we prioritizing to complain about again?

Best quote about the halftime I heard was it was nice Shakira invited her mother on stage to "sing" with her.

Americans @ mattiasnyc have a weird relationship w/sex and the human body due to Victorian mores rooted in patriarchy/misogyny.

Finding out that Shakira wasn’t really playing guitar made me cry a little.

If anyone ever starts talking to you about Auto-Tune -- tune them out. The reality might be too much...

I'm among those who find a perhaps inordinate amount of humor in watching fake guitar playing in movies and TV shows, typically not just the wrong chords and fingerings but quite often significantly out of time with the music. It's bad enough in 'dramatic' TV shows and movies.

But when it's in music videos it gets particularly ludicrous.
