Cruising e-bay isn't fun anymore

I used to love "shopping" on e-bay for vintage gear, or to see how many preamps I could afford with my latest Social Security check. But the format seems to have been radically changed.

One used to be able to rank searches with new or used, price range, and several other tweaks. Now you have to wade through all the overpriced, scammy listings from Japan or wherever. IOW, it used to be easier to go right to the kinds of listings you or I would post - just folks wanting to move a piece of gear. I pretty much don't look at e-bay anymore, prefer Reverb or the GS classifieds.

Yeah, I miss the late 2000's when it was fun. You could find good deals, the fee's were reasonable and you could defend yourself as a seller.
