Radical new styling, forget microKeys.

Sequential go QWERTY for 2019 and beyond.

Did they learn how to implement release velocity yet?

I don't know, I just heard about it through the grape vine, I have no idea anything about it.. I'm hoping is a stripped down prophet x for us unwashed masses. Maybe a monophonic version or something?
Probably its the last thing anyone could guess though, its seems that's their MO.

The X leaves me yawning... I'd like to see a REV2 4-voice for less than a Minilogue.

40th. Anniversary of the original Prophet 5. Hmmmm. This makes me think it could be one of these two possibilities:

1. A Prophet 5 Rev 3 reissue, or Rev 4 version with a few modern enhancements.

Or

2. A new 61-key version of the Prophet 6.

One can dream. Can he?

I’m guessing a spin-off of something current.

It's a Deepmind 12 clone with 5 octaves, better keybed, and costs thrice as much.

That'll show 'em.

I've seen two DSI office tour vids and I don't think I saw a Pro One. Maybe the one they've got is on an engineer's desk.

Shocking.

But really, an OB-8 or 10 with more than one lfo and 61 keys that doesn't cost an arm and a leg hmm...

Here for the gear

Lower price or rather easy access product option would be a good avenue to take under the new moniker

Probably something with the 08/Rev2/Tetra/Mopho engine and SSM2144 filter from the X.

I have to say, Dave sure is making a concerted effort to sell me something! I keep seeing many, many ads both here and on KVR for Prophets and Revs and OBs! Oh my!

Something entirely new around NAMM seems most likely, but they did also hint at considering a 73-key Prophet X at one point. That would make sense if the PX is doing well and they're looking to capitalize on that success.

I would love a Prophet 5 reissue. It’s plausible I guess given the Moog Reissue of the Model D. It’s probably not likely though given the Prophet 6 and U-he coming out with Repro 5.

Who knows?

I think that what the Model D taught manufacturers is that reissues will have to compete with a Behringer clone soon after their release.

Fair enough but there are folks like me who would never drop coin on a Behringer clone of anything. If it makes Dave produce something more affordable out the gate, bring it on.

I’m guessing a small Prophet X, who knows?…

A new Prophet 5 it doesn’t makes any sense, with the Prophet 6 and the Prophet Rev 2, already available on the market.

Maybe it'll be DSI's first virtual analogue. It'd be kindof like the P12 and some elements of the PX, but with digital filters. It'll have 40 voices.. obviously.

well, technically it's 40 years since the SSM version (rev1/2), not the CEM version (rev3) which came 2 and a half years later. however, i doubt a reissue is in store.

but if indeed they built something with new 3340G oscillators, that would be exciting.

there is only two versions of filters not three. SSM2040 in rev1 and 2. and CEM3320 in rev3.

rev1 and rev2 have identical sound generating engine and components. they changed from expensive Koa wood to more accessible dark walnut. some pcb and OS optimisations, and few bits i forgot now. sound is identical tho.

As long as we're guessing, I'll say collaboration with Moog on the One.
