Hi how are you?

We are setting up a warehouse in Europe and hopefully it will be implemented this summer. We will be shipping the gear most likely from Barcelona.

We can keep you posted if you wish!

Regards, Mark

I haven’t been around in this thread in a while and looks like people are more pissed off them ever. I know I’ve left a few unpleasant comments too in the past but I just couldn’t help myself and preordered an sa4000mkll a while back since I like my current sa4000 so much. Are we gonna see them this year or should I give up hope?

Dude, they are going to have a newsletter and a new website out in May, so slow your roll. A NEWSLETTER!!! Can't wait.

Seriously tho, there's a Mii thread in "new products not released" forum, you might find some info there.

Is there anyway for you or someone to setup a Google Voice number that forwards to that one? I'm not sure if it's free to do outside the USA but it would be helpful on the wallet if so.

So we (my partner who made the order and myself) have been waiting since end of September (I believe it was) on two units... ADF and SA2A. Keep getting the “it’s coming”. We are coming on nine months. What’s up with that? Is it possible to get an honest answer like “it will be another five months” as opposed to “it’s on its way real soon”?

Uhm, well, I never said anything like that. All I did was making an extra effort to send you the files for listening and in our communication making a point of how close hard- and software have become, proven by the fact the real SSL, costing almost as much as the other contenders together, was by no means a clear favorite, some plugins got more fav votes. I never said only one person didn't like it, where do you get that from? I also didn't say anything to influence anyone before listening. I did say that one in the field is sounding a little different which many others found, too and that happens to be the Stam. I never said that was a bad thing with a single word. Some liked the Stam best, that's the point, it's all a matter of taste rather than price or soft- or hardware. But it's a fact that from all contributors the Stam got the least fav votes. All these guys did was listen, didn't influence anyone. Was just trying to do you and everyone a favor by taking the time to setup a meaningful test and share observations. Many have appreciated that, sorry I upset you. But partially spoiling the results of the blind test here is not a really cool thing to do. May I kindly ask you to edit the corresponding letters out of your post? Thanx.

Your shootout is very helpful and I didn’t mean to piss you off. Poor social skills on my side.

However there was an interaction with me that altered the result in an unwanted way. I didn‘t mean to complain and the test still was very useful to me regarding what to expect from the various compressors being shown.

No hard feelings here, I still just don't see where I said something that altered the result for you before you listened. But let's just leave it that, sorry if I did. Deleting your whole posts wouldn't have been necessary, substituting letters with their respective names would have been enough. Anyhow, thanx a lot for respecting my concern and reacting to my request, much appreciated!!

FWIW, I had an issue ordering through their new website, and after having had problems with Stam in the past, was fully prepared to swear them off again. However, the communication around my issue has been much better this time with various people from their team reaching out and communicating in an acceptably timely manner (24-48 hours) vs weeks I've waited for a response in the past. It does seem like that at least in my case, Stam is addressing the customer service side of their business and building a team to improve their communication. My $.02.

They even called me on the phone in Europe from Chile to ensure everything is fine when I asked for a refund.

I have an Avalon Bassline and a Moslab Modular, I am used to wait hehe.

If funds would allow, I‘d be tempted to backorder their entire catalogue.

Now you need to improve on deadlines. Where’s the the 4000mii? Please, I’m gonna go out of my mind if I don’t get a hold of one. I’ve had a deposit on one since January.

Hi Joshua, I heard in an interview with you that you’re working on a lunchbox and some lb units, when are you planning to manifacture them? Is there a time fram? And could you reveal any units that will be in that format?

Best regards

Not for the moment
We did design a bunch of stuff on 500 series but it's a declining market that doesn't sparkle that much interest

We are also very busy with what has already been announced

If this changes I will notify it of course

Thank you for your interest

Stam Audio owes me $1600 in refunds as I've requested to cancel all of my orders. I've been chasing my hard earned money for over 3 weeks. I would highly advise not to do business with Stam Audio. This is stealing.

I ordered a Stamchild in early 2018. It arrived early summer 2019. Packaged very well. However, I discovered it had an issue when the comp was engaged, the phase shifted the stereo image wider in a strange way. After some back n fourth over email and phone, after some additional calibration and other tests, Stam agreed to send the unit to their service personel at their expense and the unit has come back and is now working flawless and sounds great. While I was not pleased after paying and waiting and then discovering theres an issue and going through the process of showing them the issue only to wait some more to get it resolved , I will say and I'm very pleased Joshua Stam and the company took care of the issue. I'm really enjoying the SA-670 .

Hey guys,

So I've been waiting over a year and a half, since paying a $200 deposit to STAM audio and have still not received any goods. Neither of the contacts I have (Camila and Mark) have replied to my last two emails and I'm starting to feel like they have just stolen $200 from me. I've been really really nice to them via email, trying to understand these are hand-build units and a small company but enough is enough, no-one should have to wait this long and have emails ignored. I feel like I've gone above and beyond to be understanding, polite and reasonable. I feel like I've been fobbed off on every occasion, and in my last email i asked for my deposit to be returned, no reply. I'm now really worried that I've been had. I do however have the original documents with the deposit payments if it comes to a legal battle, I won't let someone just steal my money which is how I'm feeling right now after a million promises made by them to deliver an SA-2A, which then turned into an promise for a SA-23A+ (that's how long I've been waiting).

What are other peoples experiences?

I really really really hopped it wouldn't come to this but...

Given my current situation I can only say DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE.

Edit: I would like to add that not once have STAM Audio contacted me to inform me of anything. I have to ask them what is happening every couple of months or so when they miss a deadline. This has been going on for over 18 months.

Thanks for letting me know, but surely that's STAMs responsibility! I assume my emails are still going through to the company.

Do you have a link to said thread by any chance? I don't have the time to be digging through threads on gearslutz searching....

You will not have a legal battle with anyone.

Please PM your email address so I can look at it and process your refund

Camila and Mark both do no longer work with us and this is a simple miscommunication issue which I am happy to resolve.

PD: No, we do not access those emails.

Hi Joshua,

Thank you very much for getting in touch. I'll send you my email via PM and we can take it from there.

I'm sorry if this has been a simple misunderstanding but there was no way for me to know that Camila and Mark had both left the company.

It’s not your fault. Most companies would forward a past employee’s email account on to somebody else in the company. Good luck on the refund.
