Itunes, Apple and Steve Jobs can kiss my ass

I will never, ever buy another Itune again.
What a complete wank.
Here's why.

My wife's brother In-Law is turning 60.
To mark the occasion we are putting together a CD that has a Hitsong every 5 years from his year of birth.
Some of the early songs were hard to find, so I go to Itunes, sign up, find them, and buy them.
I go to burn the CD, guess what. Can't do it.
I decided to do the honest and right thing and got royall F u c k e d.

Well, that's the last time I'll use that POS service again. EVER.
Screw them and Screw the whole Apple wank fest.

You can burn CDs from purchased music on iTunes... this is allowed and works fine, here's a link to Apple's support page that you may find helpful:

http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/musicstore/burn/

Nope, the current version of Ituens will nto allow burning of purchased MP3's.
When I try to burn, it says "Itunes store purchased MP3's can not be burned to a disc".

dfegad Itunes and dfegad Apple.

Dude. Just download from limewire!
I don't beleive in iTunes anyway. I just download an album if I want to check it out, and buy it if it's worth the 10-20 bucks. Call me a hypocrite.

Email them and demand a refund...they will give you one.

I gave the iTunes store a shot a few months ago. It said artwork available with purchase. So, I'm expecting the FULL artwork - cover, credits, liner notes, everything. But, no dice...just a small jpg of the cover photo. I emailed them and bitched about it and they credited me for the full album (which I still have on my iPod BTW).

Did you try burning them from within iTunes? From what I read over on their support boards it seems that you need to burn it from inside iTunes.

I think it is File-> Burn Playlist to Disc.

Anyways, it might be worth checking it out...

That doesn't sound right at all - I've successfully burned Audio CDs from iTunes-purchased tracks... what version of iTunes are you running?

Also, make sure you've got your Preferences set to Audio CD:

iTunes -> Preferences-> Advanced -> Disc Format -> Check "Audio CD".

This oughta work - let us know!!!!!

Sounds like your mind is made up, but hey...

"How many times can I burn my purchased music?

Songs purchased from the iTunes Store can be burned to audio CDs and data CDs an unlimited number of times. However, each unique playlist can only be burned to an audio CD 7 times.
"

Burning Your Music to a CD
It’s a lot of fun to create your own custom music CDs to play in your car or home stereo. All you need is iTunes and a computer with a CD burner. Just make a playlist containing only the songs you want to copy to the CD, arrange them however you want, insert a blank CD into your computer, and then click the Burn button. It’s that easy.

You can also use your CD burner to back up your music. It’s especially important to back up the music you purchase from the iTunes Music Store, just in case a file is accidentally deleted or damaged.

Ok, I finally figured it out.
Yes, CD burning format was set to MP3.
They shoudl change the error message to "You can only burn Protected files as an Audiuo CD. Not an MP3 disc".

AND THAT'S A GREAT SERVICE TO MANKIND !!

Too many kids only know audio as compromised in mp3s.

I'm shocked how many folks don't even know that you can set iTunes to anything other r than mp3. Same with iPods.

No, he should apologoze fro not having proper error codes in the Itunes software.
And they shoudl update their online info. Because the menu TEHY btell you to go to,
to change the preference, doesn't exist anymore.

Buying from iTunes is silly if you care at all. No matter what you do, you get less than with a CD; wrt the audio and the graphics.

By the way, if it weren't for the (hated!) iTunes model it would have been necessary to purchase all the songs you wanted some other way, and I doubt it would have been anywhere as easy as it turned out to be for you.

Yes, but I needed some old songs from 1947. And just one tune from each time period.

You think I'm going to go out and buy 13 CD's, so I can use one song off of each one for a compilation?

Get real.

Funny. You make the mistake and still blame iTunes. Gotta be right. Even if you're wrong, still gotta be right!

I searched the Itunes site.
The info they gave was wrong.
The menu they said to go to was removed in Itunes 7.

Nowhere was there mention in the error that popped up that you could burn an audio CD. It only said "You CANNOT burn Itunes bought songs to a CD".
It didn't mention anything about being able to burn them as an audio CD.
