Talking U-47 HEAVEN!!!

I rented a Neumann u-47 yesterday to cut some vocals and DAMM!!!! That thing sounds so awsome!!! I ran it through a Focusrite red 6 with no eq then to a Summit DCL-200 for some compression. I've only used it once before along time ago when I still wasn't to familiar with how different mics sounded. I don't really remember how it sounded back then. I WANT ONE SOOOO BAD NOW!!!

the U-47 is my favorite neauman mic the only superb one in my opinion , did you get the orgininal or the fet version? mojave audio makes the MA-200 which sounds similar to the u 47 for 1000 bucks its really good mic.

Nooooo, man.
The Mojave is not anywhere close to a 47, It is not even the slightest related.
They are about as similar as a DC-6 and a Harbin Y-12.

And it is Neumann.

We usually refer to this state of enlightenment as 47 Heaven...or Neumann Nirvana...

i like aviation. i have a book i have been reading about the 747-classic
i have a beautiful print of the boeing 314 in pearl harbor

i don't think it is possible to make a $1000 mic sound like a U-47

be well

That is misleading as well. I just sold a pair of MA200s and can attest to the fact first hand that they aren't a U67 sound. As to anyone believing the other post's comparison, there is no way on God's green earth that the MA200 is a U47 clone or even close. Different beast entirely; looks, capsule, and that little thing of sound.
