Thanks everyone. I've waited many years for this. Pay no attention if I start talking to myself like Gollum for a few days.

Longbody M7 with extra biased tubes .

You know I never even asked if it was matt or chrome finish. It will be a surprise to me too.

Pics in a few days.

Check your invoice - Gunter lists the version details in the item description.

Unless you specify otherwise when ordering, I believe Gunter delivers the classic long body/chrome top/M7 version.

It's a beautiful thing.

It's all over now. Enjoy man, that mic is the ****! If you have an API pre and a CL1B comp check out that combo, it's stupid. You'll wish your singers sounded as good as your chain.heh

He's using EF12SEL tubes.

I'm not going to look at the invoice to see the finish. It will just be an added fun suprise.

I've got APIs, John Hardy, BAE, SSL VHD and Tube-Tech MEC 1a for pres so I can't wait to spend some time trying things. Looks like some local talents going to get some free demo time

It was right at 6 months. If you are getting one be patient. I really don't think there will be many more made.

Super congrats! thumbsup

It will be chrome... Awesome.

My Wagner sounds better than my 2 Neumann's. Go figure!

Andre... the waiting time differs. That's why you always should ask Wagner himself.

Sometimes it's 6-7 months and sometimes it was up to 2 years.
As far I know he's building the last ones right now and don't take any order, but it's always a good idea to ask Wagner himself. You never know if a customer did cancel a order or maybe he found some more NOS parts to build some extra.

Summary:

Always email Wagner himself if you have a question.

Hey man, thanks for that.
Yes I was just curious. I know I can ask him, but don't want to be a pain and time replying to emails is time not making mics for him
Awesome - thanks man.
Take care

Actually, I should clarify the timing on the mic delivery. When I originally called Gunter he was "out" of mics. I asked him if any of the sells fell through would he let me know. About 2 months or so after that he called and said a client had backed out or canceled the mic order. I said I'd take it and sent the money within 4-5 hours.

I don't know how far a long he was on th mic when he offered it to me. I'm willing to bet he may have already spent months on it. After my order was placed it was still 6 months.

The mic arrived today. Physically, it is every thing I expected and had seen on a few other Wagners. I'll post pics in the next two or three days.

I have a wonderful female vocalist coming in from NC next week and I'll wait until then to hear it. I'd do it myself, but even with a Wagner, I would sound like a cross between a burp and fart when I sing.

Now that I have it, I am sure that like most people that get one, you argue with yourself, should i use it or store it in a bank vault.

Believe it or not I've not used it on vocals yet. However, on a 1962 Martin guitar it was more than special.

As soon as I track some vocals I'll put something up.
