Mounted gooseneck to replace mic boom stand

Slutz,

Ive turned my basement closet into a mic booth. Looking to aleviate floor space from the 3 legs of my boom mic AND the room the arm of the boom takes up, I tried mounting my LDC mic (Studio Projects CS1 - God, that mic sounds sexy!) on a gooseneck bolted to the wall. My hope was that the vocalist could position the mic how they want without the bulk of the stand.

Unfortunately the gooseneck cant hold the mic up at length when adjusted. Anyone know of a solution? Do they sell "industrial strength" goosenecks?? I appreciate any insight you guys can offer.

I have that mount already. Using a telescopic boom doesnt aleviate the weight problem. I need a stronger gooseneck to hold both the arm AND the mic.
