DIY Room Treatment/Setup(pics)

Here is a layout of how my room is setup. It is about 95 inches from carpet to ceiling. Im really trying to figure out how i am going to do this. Please if any one can help me out, would be appriciate it. I have about 350$ to spend on room treatment as of the moment. Please help!!! thanx so much


Front door is by the dresser
Closet by the pc
11.5x11.5 room
Carpet floor
Curtain windows

Im going to put at least four bass traps in my room(one in each corner)? And what would be necessary also?

ok well im a newbie at this i did read the article but sometimes people may need more assistance but thanks well appreciate it.

Four bass traps is a start, and will surely make things better, and is way better than doing nothing. But if your goal is to be able to mix with confidence, it's not enough. And you need absorbers for early reflections too, as explained in the article.

Ok well im about to order 18 pieces of 703 2' for 282$.....i want to 4 corner bass traps 4' which will be 8 used right there and them im left with 10 703 '2 pieces???? do the reflections points just require 2' or 4' traps?

I would do

side walls in 2" (gapped from wall), so that's 10 total

ceiling cloud in 4" (gapped from ceiling), so there's twelve

3 more 4" basstraps (think wall/ceiling corners... back wall (gapped))...


this would be a pretty good start

I moved my bed towards the left(backwall) and pc and speakers by the window area(end of my bed)......also im going to purchase the yamaha hs50's
