Plaster on metal lath for acoustic insulation

Hi. My question is simple. I intend to add some mass to my existing wall to insulate it a little more. An option to achieve this is a coating of plaster on the existing wall, with metal lath to make it thicker.

Will the presence of metal in the coating undermine significantly the insulation? Or will the effect be negligible?

Thanks...

The metal will not have a negative effect. Check the mass law for effectiveness.
