Help improving room acoustics

Hi there,

I just finished installing acoustic panels in my basement, not the ideal space but because of lock down, that will have to do.

Anyways, i took a few measurements (see pics) and need some suggestions.

Option one with the speakers against the front wall and option 2 with speakers 3 ft way from it.

I prefer the second option (pic with dips @ 50Hz-60Hz) as i'm getting better imaging, even though theoretically option one (pic with bumps AND dips @ 50Hz-60Hz) should yield better result.

Any suggestions for taming the dips at 50-60 Hz and bumps at 160 Hz ?

The room is an L shape with low ceiling. Clouds are 16''x48'',6'' thick and side panels are 48''x48'', 4'' thick, bass traps are from GIK (Tri-traps).

Thanks

Find out what the room mode frequencies are at amroc and then install treatment that does something at the spots indicated by amroc.

Whether johann looked at the PDF I have no idea but both of his replies are guiding you in the right direction.
