Alternative Acoustic Treatment

I was looking into buying acoustic treatment from Audimute.com but then I realized I have a whole vinyl collection that could fill every wall in my room and also look cool. So my question is would the vinyl be a efficient way to stop room reflection in my room or should I just pay the money for acoustic panels

Your collection of vinyl records will not absorb anything.

Regarding Audimute.com, do check before you buy. From the audimute web site: "Audimute panels can absorb up to 95% of echo, reverberation, and mid to high frequencies." For school or commercial space, which is where the company's products are aimed, fine but for a music studio you also need to consider bass frequencies. I would look at companies like GIK Acoustics if you want to buy ready-made panels.

Better still, start by measuring your room to see what your room needs. See the sticky topic: Measuring Room Acoustics.
