Gear Fiends and Slutz - Elvis is in the Building

I’m a recording artist from Bosnia (BiH in Europe) and I migrated all over the world after the genocide war that took place in my country in 1992. Since then I’ve lived in Germany and now I’m STL, MO in the U.S.
I engineer/ write / produce / etc.
I enjoy having complete control of my music.

I’m currently remodeling my studio and found out that this site will get me the RIGHT answers. Not just a bunch of thoughts and opinions.

I love this music thing. My kids enjoy it too.
Hopefully I get too meet some awesome folks on here.
New to this platform have no ideas how it works.
So suggestions are needed.

I wanna build a community of real FRIENDS. People that understand my convos and just look at me BLANK and have no idea what I’m speaking on.

Slutz and Fiends make me a better Artist / Engineer

Thank you all. Love.

Control room should have 4 or 5 Walls ?

I’m currently remodeling my studio, problem is (I know I’m gonna sound some-what dumb) I just realized how Acoustic Treatment is more important then expensive equipment. Took me some time to realize this and I’m stuck kinda.
I’m currently in a “square room” with a built in Booth.
Booth will be outside the Control room and I’ll be stuck with 4 walls. Do I add a another “angled” wall to begin my (Acoustic Treatment journey) or just stick to 4 walls and start there! Before I know down walls I really wanna get a really good shape to begin with.
Rumors about perfect square and bass issues got me slightly confused.

HELP!!!!!!
