Speaker placement close to a metal surface

Please help a noob!

I have 18U high rack all metal design. Right next to it is a monitor speaker (placed on top of a hi-fi speaker). So i would like to know, do i need to insert absorber in between the monitor and the metal rack?

I should point out all of the walls will have mineral wool absorbers and they aren't displayed on the drawing since i need to calculate their exact position in reference to the sitting position which will be in front of the console shown in white. (that chair on the drawing is for something else, so please ignore it).

Of course monitors will be rotated to form a triangle. It was just easier to draw them this way. I just worry about that metal rack. If anyone had any similar experiences feel free to share.

Once you get the speakers up in an appropriate position (ear height or even higher if tilted down), you don't need to worry to much about that rack.

The rack is already overfilled (like 10 yrs ago) in fact i have material for 4 more such racks if not more.

I was worrying about the first reflection from the speaker into the metal surface of the side of the rack.

Never mind this sub-forum seems vacant. I'll ask in university.
