does masking tape hold up acoustic foam sheets?

Hello,

I need to do a temporary mounting solution of acoustic foam sheets on the walls.

Would lots of masking tape hold the acoustic foam sheets on the walls? I'm not concerned about the walls... they will be fine and should stick fine. I'm not sure if masking tape sticks well enough to the back of acoustic foam sheets to have them hold up on the walls. I'm talking about fairly massive amounts of masking tape if needed.

T Shaped Push Pins

I used push pins with a T shaped head to mount Auralex panels to drywall. Masking tape will probably dry out over time.

Another vote for this. T-pins are the way to go.
