Measurements of impact sound insulation

Hi folks,

Is there any simple method that can be used to measure impact sound insulation of boards?? The tapping machine and the rubber ball methods require two large rooms and large samples, so I would be interested in a method that can be used to measure small samples. I have thought about exciting the boards by hitting it and then measure resonances... would this work? any other suggestion? Is anyone familiar to any method used for similar purposes?

Many thanks in advance!
