Buildining a big skyline diffuser

Hi, I wan´t to build a big skylinee diffuser. I will usse 5, 10, 15 and 20 cm´s columns. I searched on internet and got the diagrams to build a single pane diffuser that will be like 50x50cm.

However, I wan´t to build a 1.5 x 1 m diffusor. So in order to keep the pattern of the columns I´m planing on building 6 50x50cm difuser or 2 50x1.50 cm.

The thing is... should I vary the pattern or use it the same 6 times? Should I rotate it in order to avoid possible cancelations?

Can you please give some insight of how this should be done?

Repeating patterns of most diffusers can generate lobes. Avoid if possible.

With those dimensions, what frequency range are you targeting? And why so low?

Hi,

I think you can use one 2D diffuser with high N number, and find a rectangle look. Alternatively, your idea of putting to diffuser together can work fine too.

Sound Splash diffuser calculator can help you to design one.

Best,

Hadi
