The original plans for Kronos put an isolation booth between the control room and the live room with patio sliding glass doors.
Bad decision.
Years later I brilliantly added a second set of patio doors to the side of the isolation booth shared with the studio. It helped, slightly. The iso booth sounded ugly, and had no vibe.
After a while, I got acoustic foam monoliths and surrounded the singer in the booth. It was not cool. Sounded decent though, finally.
My friend at at a local studio did a remodel and gave me a huge pane of studio glass. I planned to use it to replace the sliding glass doors.
The video was of me taking out the door.
I cut the glass in two and built a wall:
A double door is planned.
Here is how the vibe is coming so far on the inside:
The foam is built into that frame. It is cut in four and covered in fabric. That is an LED light in the center. The opposite wall is about the same.
More to come...
