Here for the gear
soundproof windows-which one?

I am designing a studio, detached, new construction. I have an incredible view, I want a big picture window. I have been working with a Milgard dealer. I have a choice between an 8' x 5' Quiet Line - three panes of 3/16" glass with an STC (sound) rating of 42 or a 10' x 4' double pane of 3/16" and 1/4" glass, STC rating is unknown. I imagine that the triple pane is quieter. 8' x 5' is the largest they make. I would prefer the 10'x4' for aethetics. The studio is in a rural desert area and is very quiet. The biggest source of noise is the ocassional dirt bike that passes and the winds. Any suggestions?

Milgard goes up to STC 48, right?

Soundproof windows Inc say they go into the 60's.

If I was making a studio I would cover it and make a deck on the roof to be in the view.

Good luck I am jelous.
