Limp bass trap Q

Hey guys,

I gonna build limp bass traps for back wall. Have a question about vinyl membrane fitting. So idea is to use 50mm 80kg rockwool than 10mm gap, 10kg vinyl, 10mm gap, 100mm 45kg rockwool and sealed on back.
The question is how you fit membrane? Hanging from top only leaving about 1-2mm on edges ? Or loosely tight on top and bottom or have to be sealed stamped around?

There's a bunch of info about limp mass absorbers in this thread. He even has building plans.

Certainly worth a read!

I've been wondering about this idea for a long time. It's like running on sand or how a soccer player catches as pass with a little give.

I'd been thinking about the idea of hanging sound blankets with an air gap, but I figured they'd be so heavy in terms of limp mass they'd work for too low of a frequency range.

I'm curious about the vine and whether it work work as a sheet suspended from the ceiling or even draped over a curtain rod or a stand for photography seamless paper.

Does anyone know if that would work?
