Which materialsfor the ultimate seal

Assuming I have a 8' thick wall to build in order to create the best isolation, would you fill everything with one material? (like wood or cement) or you would actually use isolation materials?
(assuming you want to sound not to come out

Thanks

Lead is probably the best sound stopper. Pure concrete probably a real option. Two leafs of doubled plasterboard on staggered studs is probably your practical choice.

How about a 4" wood? wouldn't it be better than plasterboard?

The exact material is less important than how much it weighs -- its mass per unit volume. You want something as heavy as possible, so gold (or platinum) would be even better than lead.

Is wood heavier than plasterboard? Do some research

Oh, and by the way... 8' is a VERY thick wall. Did you mean 8"? That changes things.
