Tip: Groove Agent SE as a Minisampler !

Here´s a hot tip...

Cubase 8 Groove Agent SE as a Minisampler:

There is an option to play samples chromatically on the keyboard (!)

You can drag and drop every sample (project window or media bay) on a pad of GA4SE.
Then go to the pitch tab.
Select key range and set the lower and high keys, your choice.
Then go to the amp tab and do a double click to add a new point to the amp curve.
You can now play your sample chromatically on the keyboard.
There is another option in the sample tab which activates audio warp to get the sample in time.
This is a nice way if you want to play voice samples for example as a chord because it has the formant fuctionality.

So there´s no need for another (simple? simpler?) sampler....

It's a great sample just wish it had audition in place/sample swap like battery does.

It does.

In GA SE:
Using a pad with a pre-existing Sample
Edit: Right click on sample
Replace Sample
And this brings up a Folder view with Pre-Listen Enabled
And then you can step through samples in a folder.

GA 4.2 has nice advanced options to browse.

Know about that, but I shoul just be able to do that in a mediabay environment and not some random 'open window'. It just doesn't make any sense, I have a lot of stuff I worked hard to categorize, tag, etc in mediabay, now that gets thrown away for a isolated plain prompt? Have the prelisten hooked to a mediabay environment and I would be completely sold. Also, we need some previous/next buttons to switch samples in the same folder location as the loaded samples (battery, nerve, etc do this)

Can you explain this a bit more, can't get it working as you described? Cheers

Ah nice! Another very handy feature i'd missed. Great having the pre-listen triggered from GE so any track processing is also heard.
