cubase 5 and Logic Pro on the same machine?

Hi all,

Someone once told me this could be a problem, did a Google and thread search but that didn't bring anything on this up. I will be working a lot in a studio from a friend next year. They are on Logic Pro with a Mac (Motu Pci card). I'm used to working on Cubase, and also wanne be able to load my Cubase projects directly without going through the hustle of bouncing tracks etc. Is there any reason not to install Cubase and Logic next to eachother on the same machine? Any Mac users out there that run both daws on the same machine?

Thanks!
Frans

Ha! I'm on Cubase since Atari .There is NO way I will try learling to master another daw, lol.. Already getting seriously frustrated sometimes when switching to Protools for some multitrack beat detective work, something Cubase lacks.

Anyway thanks for the responses, I guess it's perfectly save to install both Daws on the same machine. It's just that I heard somebody say it could cause problems and last thing I wanna do is mess up my friends computer.
Thanks!

Have had Logic, Cubase, both and others installed on my machines for more than 10 years.

Protools wrote code which would cause problems with Cubase, but that's all done now with PT9, would presume.

NO worries running multiple platforms on 1 computer.

currently in 10.6 running

Ableton Live 8.xx
PT 9
Cubase 5.5
Logic 9.1.3 believe

Enjoy!

yes don't let anyone scare you my machine has s1 pro, live 8 and logic and everything works like a charm, and my previous one had cubase as well temporarily until i returned it, but there was no problems (i just hated the abysmal mac performance of cubase).. everything will happily co exist without conflict
