Maybe I'll buy Nuendo at the $588 sale price

I just got the email. Maybe I'll just buy it retail while it's basically the same price as Cubase pro 10.5 (which I already have).

Don't really want to do a crossgrade and lose Cubase.

I could install a full Nuendo on one of the daw slaves & use it in tandem with Cubase.

Nuendo used to look a lot nicer than cb. Nowadays, they both seem to have the same gui.

Will probably never do post/video work, but you never know.

The price is good. Decisions decisions.

Yes I am thinking of cross grading although don’t do post presently. Perhaps I should consider buying without losing Cubase license.

What are your reservations on losing the Cubase license? Will Nuendo take longer to load up? Upgrades are more expensive and longer lengths in-between?

If one is just doing music is there too much fluff in the menus etc to confuse things?

I like the extra monitor features in the control room....

You’ve given me a thought to perhaps go the middle ground of a competitive crossgrade from another 3rd party sequencer, which I wouldn’t have to lose and is cheaper than the option of buying full out as you were thinking on.

The middle ground may be the best option and I have many sequencers to pull from....

What would be the purpose of using both chained together at the same time on 2 computers? Summing recorder?

If you have another DAW like

Nuendo 10
Competitive Crossgrade from

Apple Logic 9 or higher
Cakewalk Sonar X2 or higher (Platinum and Professional / excl. Artist and Cakewalk by Bandlab)
Propellerheads Reason 6 or higher
MOTU Digital Performer 7 or higher
Avid Pro Tools 9 or higher incl. subscriptions (Pro Tools and Pro Tools HD / excl. First)
Cockos Reaper (Commercial license only / excl. discounted license)
Presonus Studio One (Professional / excl. Prime and Artist)
Ableton Live 8 or higher (Standard and Suite / excl. Intro)

That will save some more money over buying the full version straight out
