is it the artist's job or the venue regarding lighting and stage effects?

Just curious if I need to buy my own lighting effects as an artist or do I leave this out to the stage producers?

here in Oz it depends. Some have house PA and lights, some are BYO, mainly front bars etc.

I am slowly buying some Chauvet LED lights for those front bar gigs with no setup.

It never hurts to have extra lights on hand.

Even just two floor LEDs make a huge difference .

And they make practice a bit more fun hehe
