Obey 70, Memory/Programming Stability?

Chauvet Obey 70 DMX lighting console, 240 scenes in 30 banks of 8, plus 6 chases, plus any re-allocated faders.

Quite a few man-hours to program, no way to back any programming up, and your light show is dependant on that programming, especially after the trusses are high in the air.

How reliable is the programming in the Chauvet Obey series controllers?

How often do they "forget"?

Is it time dependant, how long the controller goes unused or unplugged?

If they forget, do they usually forget everything all at once, (easy to check before raising trusses), or do they forget one scene or setting in one bank here, one other datapoint elsewhere (much harder to check before a show)?

We are looking into software solutions, but want to max what we get out of the hardware Obey 70 before making those decisions.

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

I have an obey70. I replaced it with DMXIS, a computer software hardware setup. Easier to program, more control, works well with a foot controller, or an ipad.
