Thanks for your help and be brutal!

Mitch very catchy tune with some good production and playing! .....you said be brutal....there are pitch issues on the vocals @ 1:46 as an example.
If thats you on vox you have a very good voice, just some touch up on pitch
is all I hear to knock it out .....Ray

Hey Ray, thanks so much man! Yeah, I sing on this song, but I don’t consider myself a singer by any stretch, so thanks. I’ll go through with some Auto Tune and see if I can tighten that up. I truly appreciate the feedback.

Best

Hey slutz, trying to go with a new project where I play every instrument , and trying to get that vibe for lagwagon/NOFX. Any recommendations would be helpful!

One man band review

Hello,

After numerous failed bands with drama, decided to do it myself. Took about 6 months of drum lessons. Please let me know what you think!

New CD Title Cut - It's Only Tuesday

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB7q5MUprtg

I just put out a CD of my original music and this is the title cut. It's about life being out of control. Hope you like it. A guy named John Marsden produced and mixed it. He did the horns too, MIDI.

The guitars and bass are all Kemper profiles. I love this thing!

I also developed a website using Wordpress….. www.tompaulmusic.com

What horn library was used for this? Very well done. Good luck with the CD and the site.

Here's what I've been working on. I was thinking of a gospel/blues kind of feeling so I uncased the old Kalamazoo (1933) and pulled up that famous picture of Robert Johnson holding the very same guitar. For a little more inspiration I listened to some old Taj Mahal.

That old Kalamazoo is a bear to keep in tune and we struggled a bit in the tracking session.....so I was pleasantly surprised when, at the end, I picked up a G blues harp and it was perfectly in tune. Go figure. I blew that harp through my vintage Shure Unidyne 580 and into a Fender Tweed amp sim in my Helix.

Anyway....I got a little carried away with instrumentation after that and ended up with this:

Justified

Among other things, I think this tune needs a backline of sweet gospel singers.....and more cowbell.

Love it man! Warm sounding tones and great overall vibe to it. Great instrumentation - nothing excessive about it to my ears.

I like it! Has a lot of energy and excitement going on. Sorry I'm listening in earbuds so I cant really critique the mix professionally but it sounds good for what I'm hearing. I like the changes in guitar melodies throughout the song too!

My new song Not The Same with two added features.

I wanted to get 3 completely different artists on one song to create something unique and special. I think it came out pretty well what do you think?

Made this folk one with a friend, not sure if the composition could've used more work or if I went overboard with the mix. What do you think?

Was that melody inspired from wildwood flower? Cool. I felt the guitar was too loud compared to the vocals.

I think it sounds pretty good. Cool production choices with the percussion.
